Iran’s Strength Unshaken: Future Will Prove Who Was Truly Weak
WANA (Jan 22) – Today, Ayatollah Khamenei, Iran’s Supreme Leader, met with hundreds of entrepreneurs, investors, and economic activists and stated: “The delusional individual claiming Iran has weakened will see in the future who has truly weakened.”
During the meeting, he emphasized the importance of participation in international forums such as BRICS and highlighted the role of the country’s diplomatic officials in maximizing the benefits of these opportunities. He noted that the BRICS financial system, which allows transactions in the currencies of member countries, is a significant development.
The Supreme Leader stressed the need to reduce the reliance on the U.S. dollar in international trade, calling it an essential move. He stated, “This effort, which the esteemed president is also pursuing, is a major and crucial step, a decisive action in the economic campaign. The Central Bank must pave the way for the allocation of other currencies. Though this will face reactions, it will strengthen the nation’s position.”

In another part of his speech, the Supreme Leader referred to the ceasefire and Gaza’s victory as a clear sign of the ongoing strength of resistance. He described the events unfolding before the eyes of the world as extraordinary, noting the paradox of the vast U.S. military machine, unrelenting in its pursuit of human rights violations, providing bunker-buster bombs to the Israeli regime, which bombed 15,000 children in homes and hospitals, yet failed to achieve its goals.
The Supreme Leader emphasized that without U.S. support, the “Zionist regime” would have been defeated within weeks. He added that, over the past year, the Israeli regime had committed numerous atrocities, bombing homes, hospitals, mosques, and churches in the small area of Gaza. Despite all this, Israel not only failed to achieve its main objective—destroying Hamas and controlling Gaza without resistance—but was forced to sit at the negotiation table with Hamas and accept the terms for a ceasefire.
Ayatollah Khamenei referred to the resilience and victory of the Gaza resistance as an example of the divine law of triumph through steadfastness, stating, “Wherever God’s righteous servants stand firm, victory is certain.”
He also responded to claims suggesting Iran is weakening, affirming, “The future will reveal who is truly weakened. Just as Saddam Hussein, with the delusion of Iran’s weakness, launched an invasion, and Reagan, with the same misguided belief, supported him, in the end, both of them and many other deluded figures met their demise. Meanwhile, the Islamic Republic of Iran continues to grow stronger, and by God’s grace, this experience is repeatable.”
